Do I need a UAE employer or sponsor for the Remote Work Visa?
No. The category is designed for employees of companies registered outside the UAE, so a local employer or sponsor is not required. You do need to confirm the remote nature of your work and your income.
Does the visa suit a freelancer or the owner of a company?
Not automatically. The requirements describe an employee of a company outside the UAE. We assess cases involving freelancers and business owners manually and, where appropriate, suggest another route such as setting up a company in the UAE.
What counts as proof of income of USD 3,500?
Usually a current employment contract and bank statements for the recent months. The exact list depends on the filing channel and the circumstances of the case, so we prepare a personalised document list before any preparation begins.
Can I apply while already in the UAE?
Such cases do occur, but the procedure differs from applying from abroad and depends on your current status and length of stay. It is one of the first questions we cover during the case review.
Is Emirates ID part of the process?
Yes. We coordinate the medical fitness test and the Emirates ID application and keep you updated on statuses until the documents are issued.
What is paid separately from Clear Residency services?
Anything outside the agreed package: opening a bank account, tax registration, accounting, office rent and external approvals. We put the scope of support, and what is charged separately, in writing before work starts.
How long does the whole process take?
The official GDRFA processing time for an application is around 48 hours after a complete set of documents has been submitted. The full path, including medical fitness and Emirates ID, takes longer and depends on the circumstances of the case and the availability of appointments.
Can I arrange visas for my family?
That question is addressed once you hold residency status yourself. The conditions depend on the visa category and the requirements of the competent authorities — we look at it separately for your situation.
Free Zone or Mainland — which should I choose for my business?
It depends on the type of activity, your client markets, your need for visas and an office, and on regulated activities. We compare 2–3 applicable options against your criteria rather than offering one zone to everyone.
What determines the cost of registering a company?
The jurisdiction, licence type and activity, legal form, number of owners and residency visas, office requirements and external approvals. That is why there is no public price: after the brief you receive a comparison of options and a proposal for your case.
Do you help with opening a bank account?
We assist with preparing and submitting the documents. The decision to open an account rests with the bank and we cannot guarantee it. This service is agreed and paid for separately.
Can the process be started remotely?
Yes: the brief, the case review and document preparation are all done remotely. Some procedures require you to be present in the UAE — we tell you which ones and at what stage before work begins.
